Tommy is a UK based singer-actor with a strength in physical comedy and clowning. He started acting professionally when he was 14 years old, understudying the role of John the apprentice in Benjamin Britten's Peter Grimes. In 2011 he acted in A Midsummer Night's Dream, both were productions for the English National Opera.
Prior to this he had performed in a number of local productions from a young age including The Wind in the Willows with Blunderbus Theatre Company who are now produced by Little Blue Monster Ltd. He also worked with Kent based Play On Words. Tommy in that time participated in the creation of dance performance pieces for festivals with Loop Dance Company and also worked with the Icon Theatre Company. He moved from his native Kent at age 16 to attend the iconic creative Croydon based BRIT School studying Musical Theatre for two years. Whilst there some of his credits included the title role of Pippin and lead vocals in My Fair Lady and Footloose. In 2016 Tommy completed his training at Rose Bruford College. He graduated in European Theatre Arts, which has since added the parenthesis (Training The Contemporary Performer). During his second year of study Tommy undertook an Erasmus at the Institut Del Teatre in Barcelona devising theatre and practising puppetry and it was here that he began developing solo clown characters and the groundwork for setting up the UK/Spain based physical theatre company - Theatre85. Until March 2020 Tommy worked for Forum Theatre and Education touring Spain, taking him to theatres, schools and cultural centres across the country. In the four seasons he worked there he played a number of characters and voiced their puppets. |
